The board of the company is integrated with the milestone people in the field of Soya bean. Mr V.K. Jain functions as the Chairman and Managing Director along with Mr P.K. Vyas, the Whole Time Director. Both of them carry a vast experience of international trade of more than 25 years.
Mr V.K. Jain (55) did his post-graduation in Commerce and started his career in 1985 as a purchasing assistant in a soybean processing unit of VXL India Ltd. in Harda (M.P.). For the next 13 years, he mostly worked in companies belonging to Birla, Glaxo and JK Group. During this period he acquired considerable experience, particularly in the export marketing of Agri-commodities. In 1998 at the age of just 35 years, he started his own business and took the command of Suraj Impex (India) Pvt. Ltd. as its Managing Director with a small capital base but high spirit. Suraj soon became a major exporter of SBM and other agri-commodities from India to Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, Srilanka, Kuwait, Thailand, and Pakistan.
Starting from an annual turnover of just Rs. 45 Crores in 1999-2000 Suraj crossed the turnover of Rs. 1000 Crores in 2010-11 and exporting to European and other countries also. The Company is holding the status of a Star Export House recognized by Government of India.
The conglomerate established under the leadership of Mr Jain was named as AV Group in 2014. Suraj Impex (India) Pvt. Ltd. is mainly engaged in the operations of merchant export of Agri-commodities mainly Soybean Meal, Indian Rapeseed Meal, Argentine Sunflower Seed Extraction Pellets, Raw Sugar and other commodities, in Bulk vessels after procuring it from the local markets. These products are exported majorly to the Far East, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, SAARC countries, and Europe.

Shri Praveen Kumar (59) S/o Vidhyadhar Vyas is a post Graduate in commerce, a law graduate and fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has 36 years, experience in accounts, finance and legal matters.
He underwent training at Chowgule Group in Goa in 1983. From 1984 to 2004 he worked with Prestige Foods Ltd. and its group companies engaged in the business of soybean processing, edible oil refining, feed manufacturing, wheat milling, international trade, and management education. He also set up a trading outfit for the group in Singapore. During this period he handled several portfolios covering insurance, accounts, audit, legal, corporate affairs, and international trade.
The last position held by him was as Executive Director. From 2004 he is associated with Suraj Impex (India) Pvt. Ltd. as Executive Director. He is also the Promoter Director of Avi Agri business Ltd.

Apart from trading of Agri products, we have warehousing facilities at Tuticorin port with the storage capacity of about 35000 MT bulk cargo. We own 5 warehouses across Tamil nadu, which are at convenient locations and have considerably larger surface area. The total surface area of all the five warehouses is about 150000 square feet, which enable us to have a surplus capacity in the time of need.
We are in the business of electricity generation as well. We have set up a 2MW Solar Power Plant at village Podichedu, MothkurMandal, Near Hyderabad, Telangana. The unit is already in operation and had started generating electricity in April 2016.
